There are so many cabs in Cebu, and if you visit Cebu, you will have no trouble finding taxis near your hotel or pension house. Cebu has so many taxi operators despite the rising cost of gasoline. Every year, new taxis are added to the current number.

Although the taxi industry in Cebu is a big one, it is not advisable to venture into this business here as the industry is already saturated. One will also have a hard time getting a franchise for a taxi business. But if you are very keen on starting a taxi business, you can invest your money somewhere in Mindanao where taxis are relatively few.

The fare for these taxis is quite reasonable; it starts at 30 pesos and goes up two pesos and fifty centavos every succeeding kilometre. If you are in the Capitol area and wish to go to Mango Avenue, it would cost around 50 to 60 pesos. And if you are in the Ayala Mall and like to go to Colon Street, that would be approximately 80 to 90 pesos.
