Malapascua Island
This is another great wonder of Cebu, said to be like Boracay ten years ago. Malapascua has the same charm minus the crowd. If you want to relax, enjoy, and unwind, then visit this island. It has pristine white sand beaches, aqua marine seas, and a serenity that can only be found on this island paradise. Getting there is easy. Catch a bus in the North Terminal to Maya (four hours travel), and take a bangka (small boat) ride to Malapascua (travel time of 45 minutes).

Malapascua Island
This place is good for people who are looking for a relaxing, quiet ambience that can take away the hurried pace of city life. Malapascua’s main charm is its simplicity which blends perfectly with nature. They have no proper electricity since their lights turn off at exactly 6 p.m. The rest of the island gets enveloped in darkness except for those resorts that have their own power generators.
Most of the resorts in Malapascua have a native feel and simplicity but at the edge of the beach strip, you can find a resort made of concrete surroundings (Blue Corals Beach Resort). It stands out among all the resorts since it is big and almost stands on a cliff overlooking the sea. There are many nice resorts that abound in the island, and I recommend them below, including their contact numbers.
This island is well-preserved by the government for business entities that like to commercialize it since this island is rich in marine life that fascinates divers all over the world. It is also one reason why Malapascua is known to be a diver’s paradise. Another good attraction is their famous floating bar, and a tour around their island by a bangka.
Some of the best resorts in Malapascua are:
